Chelsea Old Town Hall, a perfect location for great events

Besides the ample variety of art from 40 different countries all around the world, another great surprise came from the fantastic wines of the Strozzi Princes, direct descendants of Leonardo da Vinci’s model for his “Mona Lisa”. They were greatly appreciated by all the guests who attended the private viewing of the London Biennale.

The grand halls of the Chelsea Old Town Hall, a magnificent building on King’s Road, were packed with collectors, artists, journalists and art lovers in general.

There was also a long cue of people who patiently waited outside the building to be let into this illustrious crib of contemporary art. 120 artists selected from all around the world, from China to Israel, from the USA to Syria, presented their art and enthralled all the guests.

The London Art Biennale is not only art, but also a moment dedicated to people in need. An important charity auction was organised and brands such as Westwood, Versace, Gucci, AliVini, Gagliardi Gallery, etc. contributed with their donations to collecting money for the following three charities: hanno contribuito con le loro donazioni a raccogliere una somma donata alle 3 charities:

  • The Kensington & Chelsea Foundation;
  • The Rotary Club of Kensington and Chelsea;
  • London’s Air Ambulance.

An evening made even more pleasurable by music and by the wonderful speech of the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Councillor Mrs. Elizabeth Rutherford, besides by the warm and admiring comments of the public.
