Russia meets the world in London

The Russian Art Week took off with an exceptional launch party!

It is one of the major international art fairs in London, which takes place from the 27th November to the 4th December 2015.

During the whole week the UK's four major auction houses Christie's, Sotheby's, MacDougall's and Bonhams presented a programme of auctions and sales featuring important Russian paintings and works of art. More events will take place all around the city: conferences, exhibitions, auctions, theatre productions, Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker and his opera Eugene Onegin will both be performed at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in order to highlight and bring Russian culture, and above all art, to our city.

At the opening party Remy Martin offered its rare and unique Louis XIII Cognac. A blend of exquisite Cognacs among which a 100 year old Cognac that is sold at $25.000.

The Gagliardi Gallery in King's Road, London, was selected and requested to curate the exclusive event, hosted in an elegant £15 million flat in the Corinthia Hotel Apartments, in the heart Whitehall in London.

The Gagliardi staff had a key-role in the success of the renowned event: almost 30 wonderful artworks were exhibited, adorning the sophisticated setting of the event and fascinating all the distinguished and eminent guests. From more intellectual abstract works, to the most delicate and refined realistic pieces, the Gagliardi Gallery stood out as always for its elegance and good taste in the choice of the artworks that adorned the location.

Russian Art Week started in great style and prestige and will offer a wide selection of the best of Russian culture.
